Assessor:  Hello there, I'm Charlie Scott from Newcastle Warm Zone.  Did you receive on of these in the Post?

Well here's my ID just to prove who I am.

We're just asking a few questions, making sure all homes have things like loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, that sort of thing.  My job is to ask you a few questions.  Firstly just to find out how energy efficient your house is, secondly to see if there is any work we can do for you.

So if you've got a spare few minutes I'll go through a questionnaire with you and see if there is anything we can do.

Next question is, if you could have a look at this card please, does anyone in the house receive any of these benefits at all?

That's me done, if I can get your scribble (signature) and a surveyor will call round.  he'll be able to let you know what free measures we can do for you.

Surveyor:  Hi, it's me from Newcastle Warmzone.

Lady:  Hi, yes, come in.

Surveyor: Thank you.

Lady: Do you want a cup of tea?

Surveyor:  Oh yes please, that would be great, thanks a lot.

So that's your survey finished now.  What we're gonna do is put in 250 millimeters of loft insulation, cavity wall insulation in your exterior walls, radiators throughout the house and a condensing combi boiler.  That's all, one hundred percent, grant funded.  Is that ok with you?

Lady:  That'll be lovely.

Surveyor:  Brilliant.

Lady: Yeh.

Lady (On phone):  Aren't the forms really complicated though?

So someone can come to the house and do them?

Yep Wednesday at five, perfect.

Benefit Screener:  Okay, I'll help you fill out the council tax benefit claim form.  There's nothing to worry about, I'll fill it all out for you.  I'll just go through them, step by step and you just answer them as I ask.

Once we fill out the claim form, I'll get it posted off and it'll take a few weeks to process but you will hear about it very, very soon, okey dokey?  Happy enough to go ahead?

Lady:  Yeah.
