Community Fund

There is a Newcastle Great Park Community fund given to Newcastle City Council by the developers.  The fund is to provide community activities and facilities for the residents of the Great Park.  This can be used to increase the size of existing provision in the surrounding area or create new opportunities.  We'd like to know your ideas on how to use this money please complete the Online Community Fund Questionnaire

Community Panels

The Newcastle Great Park Advisory Committee would like to develop community panels.  There will be three panels working on different themes.  They include:

  • Open Spaces i.e. ecology, landscaping, water courses
  • Transport, accessibility and the town centre
  • Community facilities i.e. community buildings, play areas and the first school

The community panels will help shape the Newcastle Great Park as it develops to meet the community's needs.  It may be that panel meetings are not the only way of getting involved.  We are also looking developing a virtual panel that would allow you to be involved via the internet or by post.  If you would like to get involved contact Sue or why not chat to her at the Update Event.
