Energy Accreditation

The Energy Centre have been re-accredited to the Energy Efficiency Accreditation Scheme for the period 2007 to 2010. Initial accreditation was awarded in 2001 and work has continued to maintain and improve against this standard.

Newcastle Warm Zone starts its final year

Newcastle Warm Zone (NWZ) has started its 4th and final year, offering free or reduced price cavity wall and loft insulation and benefits advice to residents across Newcastle. NWZ started in April 2004 and in the first three years has installed over 28,000 insulation measures, reducing fuel bills and decreasing carbon dioxide emissions. Health Through Warmth's 3rd Birthday

Newcastle's Health Through Warmth project celebrated its 3rd birthday on 17th July 2006. Since 2003, the scheme has assisted 1570 clients in Newcastle with insulation and central heating funding worth in excess of £593,000 and trained 585 community workers. Health Through Warmth aims to assist people whose health is at risk from cold or damp housing conditions.
